Back in October we made a bit of a mistake. Sorry. People asked us if we could get hold of some kid’s bikes in time for Christmas. We said no. We thought there might be a chance of getting some stock but we couldn’t bear to let anyone down.

Nonetheless we ordered some cool bikes, made endless calls, were ultimately offered a few bikes we didn’t think were good enough. We didn’t hold out much hope. We were told to expect delivery in March.

Then. All of a sudden, we had SIX really nice kids MTB’s turn up. EDIT: Four still left! The week before Christmas. A bit of a mixed blessing, as we’ve got them all in store, but they haven’t found homes yet! So, if you’re that parent (or know one) that hasn’t yet got a Christmas present for their kid/grand kid, why not pop along and have a look? 

We find that loads of kids bikes in Crouch End are far too small for the child – we’ve been there – and it can really discourage kids from cycling. We would love to get some happy kids on some great little bikes. The range we have is from the company Superior. They might not be a brand you’ve heard of, they are a well established bike brand from the Czech Republic, and, unusually, all the bikes are made in the EU!  They are amazing quality, lighter, cheaper, much better spec and, crucially, a LOT cooler than an Isla Bike or a Frog Bike (Promise). Honestly, when we get them out of the boxes we have been so impressed with the build quality, how they look and how they ride.

The ones we have in stock are the Racer XC 24 (in a few colours), suitable for wee ones from 8-13 years old for just £364.99, and one super lightweight Fly 24 for £424.99. Ideal to buy for kids from 130cm to 155cm though could be ridden happily by those a bit taller or shorter.

If you’re getting a bike from anywhere else, that’s OK too, but why not get us to build your bike for you? For just £45 we will make sure that it’s safe and well setup, probably some of the best money you can spend if you’ve bought your bike online or from a big chain store. Just pop in and see us with the bike and we can usually turn this around the same day with no fuss at all.
