The Butternut Bike-Bot (Beta)
To save you some late-night Googling, we’ve tried to cram some stuff we know about bike brands, fixing bikes, hills, and kids on bikes into this AI experiment. Gav actually spent quite a lot of time on it, but it’s not quite a brain download, yet… It certainly should have a bit of personality, though!
Tell it what you’re looking for. It’ll give you a starting point, then you can come into the shop and tell us if it actually got it right. There are also a few ‘easter eggs’ in there, and you can even unlock a discount!
A digital Shortcut (still in training)
We’ve started feeding this bot data on our most popular cargo bikes, the stuff that usually takes a lot of time to explain, like motor specs, dimensions, and seating options.
It’s not a replacement for a proper chat in the shop, but it’s a good way to get a ‘first pass’ on which models might work for you. Think of it as a rough filter based on the specs we think matter most.
It doesn’t know everything yet, but it knows enough to point you in the right direction while we’re busy in the workshop. It’s also kinda fun 🙂

The bot has it’s favourites, now find yours
A chatbot can compare motor torque and measurements, but it can’t tell you how a bike feels when you’re turning a corner with two kids in the front.
Whatever the bot suggested, come and prove it right (or wrong). We’ve always got bikes ready to ride, and we’re big fans of the ‘back-to-back’ test—riding two different brands in the same ten minutes is the only way to really know which one clicks with you.”

We’re tweaking this bot as we go. If it suggested something that seems spot-on—or something that seems totally bizarre—we want to know.
