Description
The Tern GSD P00 is the clean, low-maintenance workhorse of the Gen 3 GSD range. It combines Bosch’s latest Smart System motor with a super-smooth Enviolo hub and a Gates carbon belt drive, making it ideal for families who want quiet, fuss-free riding with minimal servicing.
If you loved the old GSD S00, this is its spiritual successor, now updated with Bosch Smart System tech and the latest Gen 3 frame.
Why choose the P00?
The P00 is all about simplicity and durability:
-
Bosch Cargo Line Smart System motor
Powerful, natural assistance for heavy loads and steep North London hills, with Smart System integration for updates and tuning. -
Enviolo Heavy Duty hub gearing
Twist-and-go, stepless shifting. Change gear while stationary, perfect for school gates, traffic lights and stop-start riding. -
Gates Carbon Belt Drive
Silent, clean and long-lasting. No oily chain, less maintenance, and brilliant for year-round family use. -
Purion 200 display
Compact, modern display with integrated controls and Smart System compatibility.
How it compares to other GSD Gen 3 models
The Gen 3 GSD now comes in four main versions, and each suits a slightly different rider:
-
GSD R14 – Premium build with Rohloff hub and belt drive
-
GSD S10 (£5,900) – Most popular, derailleur gears, Smart System, Bosch ABS and connected features
-
GSD P00 (£5,900) – Smart System + Enviolo + belt drive, but no ABS
-
GSD P10 (£4,700) – Entry model with non-Smart System motor and derailleur gears
Compared to the S10, the P00 trades Bosch ABS and connected anti-theft features for the ultra-low-maintenance Enviolo hub and belt drive. For many families, that’s a great swap.
Who is the P00 for?
The GSD P00 is ideal if you want:
-
Quiet, smooth riding
-
Minimal maintenance
-
Easy gear changes in traffic
-
A clean drivetrain for everyday family life
-
Bosch Smart System performance without the complexity of ABS
A quick note on the name…
Yes, it’s called the P00. Tern’s product managers clearly had a long day when they signed that one off.
Good news: it doesn’t shout “P00” at you on the frame, and no one at the school gates is going to clock it unless you tell them. What they will notice is how quietly it rides, how easy the gears are, and how much easier the school run suddenly feels.
Test ride at Butternut Bikes
We always recommend a test ride. You can compare the P00 back-to-back with the S10 and see which setup suits your riding, routes and family best, especially on our local hills.
