The Veloe Multi is a compact long-tail cargo bike with Italian style and everyday practicality. We like them so much, I bought one myself to carry around my daughter! Built around a tough chromoly steel frame, it feels more like a normal bike than a truck, yet it’s strong enough to carry up to two kids plus your shopping. At just 1.8 m long, it’s easier to store and handle than a box bike, but still gives you the stability you need when loaded.
Choose between Shimano EP6 or Bosch Cargo Line motors, a wide range of gearing setups, and battery sizes to suit your rides. There’s also the Multi Lungo with a longer 77 cm rear rack and mixed wheel sizes, it’s the better choice for carrying two older or even three children in comfort. Both bikes are the same price.
One of the best bits? You can pick from a wide colour palette or have it custom painted in any RAL colour you want, straight from the Italian factory, for just £100 (1 week lead time). There are loads of practical accessories to make a stylish, versatile cargo bike that’s genuinely good value.
We ride one ourselves and love it – stable, comfortable, fun, looks great and is fab to ride even with a couple of kids on the back. It also looks a lot like a normal bike when you don’t have any passengers on board. The shorter Multi variant is also great as it’s a proper cargo bike, but fits in the on-street council bike parking hangers (like the Cyclehoop ones).
Please note, we do carry some stock of Veloe ready built, however due to the myriad options (including custom colours!) we generally order them direct from the factory in Milan, with a lead time of 1-2 weeks.
