Here’s a rundown of the brands we stock and why we picked them, though it’s not every brand we can get hold of, so just ask if you don’t see one here. And whatever you’re riding, our workshop will happily service and repair any decent bike, not just the brands we sell.
Brands we stock
Tern
Tern basically invented the modern family cargo bike, and a decade on it’s still setting the pace. The GSD, HSD and Quick Haul are built to replace a car for the school run, safety-tested well beyond their stated weight limits, with the biggest accessory catalogue in the business. If you only test ride one cargo bike, make it this one.
Veloe
Handmade near Milan. The Veloe Multi and Multi Lungo carry up to three kids and still ride and look like a normal bike. From £3,299, and you can have any colour you like for an extra £100 with no extra waiting.
Bike43
Really lovely Belgian family cargo bikes with maximum space for how short they are. The Short carries two kids and still fits in a bike hangar, you can squeeze three on the Mid, and the Long easily fits three. We really like how the kid accommodation works and how stable they are, and we love the bench kit that lifts up and down.
Estarli
Estarli build e-bikes, including folding and cargo models, down to a price, and spend the money where it matters: motor, battery and brakes. A properly affordable way into electric biking.
Tenways
Simple commuter e-bikes with a clean frame, a belt drive that never needs oiling and a battery that just works. Light, tidy and good value.
Marin
Marin have been building mountain bikes in California for nearly 40 years, and their hybrids and commuters are tough, sensibly geared and comfortable for daily riding.
Muli
Some of the most compact electric cargo bikes around, handmade in Cologne, with a front basket that folds flat for London hallways and bike racks. This is the bike Gav rides.
UTO
French electric bikes, hand-assembled near Lyon, including a Which? Best Buy. We have the folding bikes, the OG24 city bike and the OG200 two seater cargo bike.
Woom
Every gram on a Woom is there because it needs to be. Levers, saddles and cranks are all sized for a child, which is why kids on Wooms tend to ride further and happier. One of our strongest sellers.
Early Rider
Kids’ bikes light enough for a child to actually lift, with geometry made for a child’s proportions.
Ridgeback
A British institution. Ridgeback has been building hybrids, tourers and kids’ bikes for decades, and there’s a reason so many UK bike shops, us included, keep coming back to them: dependable, and priced sensibly.
Hornit
Hornit makes some of the lightest, best thought out balance bikes around, built to get kids confident on two wheels early.
Benno
Benno’s utility e-bikes haul kids, shopping or cargo and still look good. Practical and fun to ride, which matters when it’s replacing your car.
