Delivery
Most of our bikes leave the shop with their new owner on them. That is how we like it: a test ride on the hill outside, a proper chat, and off you go. But plenty of people cannot get to Crouch End, so we also send bikes and kit all over the UK mainland. Here is how it works, what it costs, and what actually turns up at your door.
Kids’ bikes: free to the UK mainland
We build the bike, check it over, then carefully put it back in its box. You attach the handlebars and pedals with the hex keys we include. It takes about ten minutes, and if you get stuck we will happily do it with you over a video call. Balance bikes only need the handlebars. The woom WOW comes beautifully packaged and ready to roll, you just turn the bars.
- Free delivery, usually with you in 2 to 3 working days. We aim for the next working day, but we would rather under-promise.
- Next working day for £5 when you order by midday, and Saturday delivery for £5, as long as the bike is in the shop. The checkout only offers these when we can actually do them.
- Accessories in the same order travel in the box for free.
- We’re closed on Mondays, so Monday orders go out on Tuesday.
Cargo bikes: free when full price
Full-price cargo bikes paid for online by card or bank transfer are delivered free to the UK mainland. The bike arrives built, checked and ready to ride, not as a box of parts, and we will walk you round it on a video call if you would like one.
Sale bikes, ex-display bikes and Cycle to Work orders pay the delivery charge shown at checkout: £130 for a big cargo bike such as a GSD, Bike43, Veloe or Muli, and £99 for an HSD or Quick Haul.
Our honest advice is still to come and ride one first if you possibly can. A cargo bike is a big decision, and ten minutes on the hill outside the shop tells you more than any spec sheet.

Small items normally go out the next working day. Bikes other than kids’ bikes are built and checked before they leave, so allow a few days.
Where we deliver
The UK mainland. Our courier will not take kids’ bikes to Northern Ireland, the Scottish Highlands and islands, the Isle of Wight, the Isle of Man or the Channel Islands, and free cargo bike delivery does not stretch that far either. If that is you, give us a call and we will work something out.

Collecting from the shop
Free, and our favourite option. We are at 143 Crouch Hill, Crouch End, London N8 9QH, and the bike will be built, checked and waiting for you. Our opening hours are at the bottom of every page. If you are collecting a kids’ bike, bring the rider: we will set the saddle height and send them off down the pavement.
If something is on order
Not everything is in the shop. The product page tells you honestly where a bike or accessory is. Tern, woom, Early Rider, Thule, Urban Iki and Tenways, and most accessories, usually reach us the next working day when the supplier has them. Muli, Bike43, Veloe and Estarli bikes are built to order and take about three weeks. If a date matters, ask us before you order and we will tell you what we actually know.
