woom have made a limited edition colour of the Explore that only their dealers can sell. It is called Mellow Yellow, and it is a little bit lovely. It also gives me an excuse to tell you about my trip to woom HQ in Vienna, and the drunk uncle test.

Mellow Yellow, only from woom dealers
Mellow Yellow comes in the Explore 4, 5 and 6, at the same price as the standard colours: £535, £585 and £625. You will not find it on the woom website, because woom have made it just for their dealers. It is a soft, buttery yellow with tan wall tyres, and ours are on the way from woom now.

A few days at woom HQ in Vienna
woom were kind enough to fly a few of their top dealers out from the UK to their headquarters in Vienna. It was amazing to meet the team, who are clearly inspired by the "kids first" design policy they have. They have such enthusiasm for cycling, and Vienna was a great city in which to spend a few days cycling around (as well as visiting the Prater, drinking a few beers and eating some schnitzel).
woom are doing great as a company. They are absolutely the kids' bike that kids (and adults) want at the moment, and they have a few exciting developments planned for the future too.
The drunk uncle test
My favourite anecdote is that all woom bikes are designed to such a quality that "even a drunk uncle shouldn't damage them". The idea being that if uncle has a few beers at a barbecue, he might decide to jump on a kids' bike to show off, and it shouldn't fail. I can see the sad faces now as everyone realises what looked like hijinks was a bad idea, with a suddenly silent back garden aside from a crying kid, all looking at a broken bike. Well, with woom it shouldn't happen (though we don't recommend lending bikes to uncles, drunken or otherwise).
All the bikes, right down to the smallest, are tested to 80 kg. They are also taking big steps to make the bikes more sustainable, down to the packaging, and are constantly improving the products and the company.
The rest of the woom range
If Mellow Yellow is not their colour, the Explore 4, Explore 5 and Explore 6 come in the standard colours too. We keep the rest of the woom range as well, from the GO 1 balance bike through the GO 2, 3 and 4 as they grow. Every one is built up, checked and set up in our workshop, so it works beautifully from the first ride. Have a look at all our woom bikes.
The WOW, for the littlest ones
The woom WOW bike is super nice, as it has really nice packaging and comes with a free gift of a little monster, so it will look great and ready to roll out of the box. Even a toddler can experience the WOW moment! It makes a cute present. It is a self-balancing bike for 9 months to 3 years, £160, and we have them in stock.
Come and see them
We are at 143 Crouch Hill, Crouch End, N8 9QH. Bring the kids in to try the sizes, or give us a ring on 020 8347 5534. We look after wooms in our workshop too.
