Description
Most folding e-bikes are designed with flat cities in mind. The e20.X is different. The Bafang hub motor has a two-speed automatic gearbox built in — it reads your torque input a thousand times a second and shifts down into a lower gear when you hit a climb, then back up again when you’re on the flat. You don’t touch anything. It just happens. On roads like Crouch Hill, Hornsey Rise, or pretty much anything round here with a gradient, that makes a meaningful difference — you’re not suddenly grinding because you forgot to shift before the hill steepened.
The rest of the spec backs it up. The Gates carbon belt drive means no chain, no grease, no oil on your trousers when you fold it on the tube. The Tektro hydraulic disc brakes stop it properly in the wet. The 252 Wh seatpost battery is lockable and removable for indoor charging, and gives a realistic range of around 30–40 miles depending on how lumpy your route is. Carbon riser bars and an upright riding position make it comfortable for daily use, and at 17.2 kg with the battery it’s light enough to carry up stairs without a scene.
Comes in three colours — Racing Green, Bronze, and UFO. Pro build adds mudguards and fully integrated front and rear lights; Standard has integrated front and a smart rear. Most people go Pro, and that’s what we usually have in stock to test ride.
