Lake on the MX169

The MX169 is all about utility, durability, foot protection and an even more sure footed grip with our ultra Comfortable rubber sole. Designed for all around mountain biking, commuting, enduro touring, adventure racing or any situation where “heavy use on your feet all day” support is needed. Our Enduro rubber sole is not only SPD compatible but is able to grip cage pedals, be hiked in comfort for hours and offers the most traction and grip off the bike of any mountain bike sole on the market.

Fit and build

Fit: Generous Comfort Plus volume through the forefoot, instep, and toe box. The covered upper adds consistent structure, while traditional laces allow pressure to be tuned gradually across the foot.

Upper: Durable microfiber [Non-Leather] construction provides a supportive, low-maintenance upper with more coverage than open mesh designs. The Comfort Plus platform adds volume through the forefoot and instep while preserving a secure cycling fit.

Sole: Lake’s Real Rubber + EVA Enduro outsole pairs with a semi-rigid fiberglass-injected nylon midsole. The platform supports efficient pedaling, while rubber tread and EVA cushioning add grip and comfort for walking and off-bike use. A 2-bolt SPD interface supports mountain and gravel pedal systems, with optional cleat caps available for flat-pedal use.

Closure: Traditional laces provide precise tension control across the foot and are easy to replace. The straightforward layout allows fit to be adjusted gradually from the forefoot through the instep.
