Description
Lake make cycling shoes around the shape of your foot rather than a single average. Most road models come in more than one width, and we can order any current Lake shoe in any size and width from Lake UK. If you are between sizes or have wide feet, come in and try a pair on first.
Lake on the CX201
Taking comfort and fit to the next level is the CX201. Featuring an all new last with a wider toe box and a unique construction that offers a light weight and extremely breathable shoe. Complete with a generous forefoot platform that accommodates a multitude of foot shapes.
- Comfort-focused road performance for training, endurance, and everyday riding
- A Comfort Plus platform that supports natural toe splay and reduces forefoot pressure
- Soft upper construction allows the foot to settle with less restriction
Fit and build
Fit: High-volume road fit with generous room through the forefoot, instep, and toe box. The soft upper lets the foot settle naturally, making it a strong option for wide, high-volume, or swelling-prone feet.
Upper: Clarino® microfiber [Non-Leather] pairs with a NuFoam breathable shell and Trek-Dry antimicrobial liner to create a soft, high-volume upper. The layered construction manages moisture, airflow, and comfort while allowing the Comfort Plus shape to accommodate broader feet.
Sole: Lake’s Comfort Plus Carbon Composite sole provides road- specific pedaling support with a more accommodating fit platform. The 3-hole cleat pattern keeps the shoe compatible with standard road pedal systems.
Closure: A single BOA® Li2 dial provides micro-adjustable fit control across the upper. The soft upper package allows tension to settle evenly across the foot, helping create secure hold without the pressure points often felt in stiffer, lower-volume road shoes.
