Lake on the MX242
The MX242 is a culmination of all of our experience, advanced materials, and shoe making techniques to make a shoe that offers the best fitting solution for hard to fit foot types. Made with a heat mouldable heel counter and an uniquely designed upper that has enough adjustability to accommodate riders with narrow or wide feet, or a high or low instep. The separated panels allow for fine tuning the fit, taking pressure off exactly where you need it.

Fit and build
Fit: Adaptable off-road fit for pressure-sensitive feet. Segmented panels reduce pressure across the instep and let the shoe shape around irregular foot areas, while the Competition Last keeps the platform stable for aggressive riding.
Upper: Helcor abrasion-resistant leather, ECCO full-grain leather, and NuFoam lining form a durable segmented upper with six independent fit zones. Carbon support panels and a moldable heel counter add stability while accommodating difficult foot shapes.
Sole: Lake Competition 100% carbon fiber sole paired with a Mountain Competition rubber outsole, delivering a lightweight, high- performance platform with superior grip, extended durability, and stability in rough terrain.
