Description
The e20.9 is the chain-drive folder in the Estarli range — nine gears instead of the automatic two on the e20.X, which means more control over how you ride and a wider spread across varied terrain. Where the X suits people who want zero maintenance and zero thought, the 9 suits people who want to choose their gear. For North London riding, that matters: you can drop into the right gear before a climb rather than waiting for something automatic to catch up with you.
The motor is Estarli’s own 250W hub unit with 50 Nm of torque and a torque sensor that reads your input in real time, so the power delivery is smooth rather than on/off. The 252 Wh seatpost battery is lockable and removable for charging indoors, and gives a realistic range of around 30–40 miles depending on the route. Shimano Cues groupset, hydraulic disc brakes, thru-axle front wheel, TFT colour display, and a redesigned frame that saves around 2 kg over the previous version — it comes in at 16 kg without the battery, which is genuinely light for a folder with this level of kit.
Pro build adds mudguards and a rear rack. Standard comes without. Most people go Pro.
Colours: Bronze, Racing Green, Slate Grey, UFO.
