The UTO PRO16 takes everything we like about the PRO20 and folds it smaller, for commutes that mix riding with trains, the Tube or a lift up to a flat. A carbon fork brings the weight down to 18.5kg, and it was named a Which? Best Buy in 2026.
Why we like it
The same self-locking Loop hinges as the PRO20 mean it folds in a couple of pulls, down to 74 x 70 x 46cm. The two-speed motor changes gear on its own, the Gates belt means no oily chain on the train, and the lights come on automatically. It still gets hydraulic disc brakes and Schwalbe Big Apple tyres, so it doesn’t ride like a toy despite the small wheels. The battery sits in the seatpost behind a built-in ABUS lock, and there’s an SP Connect phone mount and a hidden AirTag compartment.
It suits riders from 1.50m to 1.80m with a 105kg limit. If you’re taller, heavier or riding further, the UTO PRO20 is the better bet.
