Description
The UTO OG16 (previously the Eovolt Morning ORIGINS) is the small, light, grab-it-and-go member of the range. At 16.5kg with the battery fitted it’s easy to carry up station stairs or onto a train, and it folds in about 10 seconds, right down to the pedals, to 73 x 63.5 x 40cm.
Why we like it
It’s built for short hops and mixed commutes, where the bike spends as much time folded as it does ridden. A torque sensor gives smooth, natural assistance, there are 4 gears for the hills, and Shimano hydraulic disc brakes do the stopping. It suits riders from 1.50m to 1.85m with a 105kg limit, and the rear rack takes 25kg.
The trade-off for the light weight is a smaller 231Wh battery, good for up to 50km. If you’re riding further, the UTO OG20 has a bigger battery and 7 gears. If you want automatic gears and a belt drive in a 16″ folder, look at the UTO PRO16.
