Description
The Bonsai is the good-looking one: a birch SuperPly frame with a single-sided stay, for around two-year-olds. It weighs 3.75 kg and the standover is 33 cm. The wood has a little natural spring for a comfy ride, while the wheels are lightweight aluminium on sealed bearings with 12″ air tyres. Ritchey bars and stem, and a brown faux leather saddle, finish it off. It is the kind of bike that gets handed down.
Early Rider make the coolest kids’ bikes around, and they ride beautifully. Gav (shop owner)’s own daughter rides an Early Rider and loves it on the BMX track.
We have one in the shop now.
When they are ready for pedals, the Belter 14 and Seeker 14 are the next step.
Every kids’ bike we sell is properly set up and ready to go, which is worth £50. No building needed: turn up and ride away. They get the memory of buying their new bike from a bike shop, and you don’t spend the evening swearing at a box and fiddling with hex keys.
