Lake on the MXZ21

The MXZ21 is designed to be a lighter-weight and more athletic-fitting high-performance inclement weather cycling shoe. Built on a carbon fiber and real rubber sole, it maintains incredible power transfer to the pedal, along with grip and stability on slippery ground conditions. The MXZ21 combines this high-performance sole with a windproof and highly water-resistant upper for foot comfort, while unlimited adjustable speed laces lock your feet in for fast-paced pedal stroke stability.
Sizing Suggestion: For use with winter weight socks we recommend ordering 1-1.5 sizes up from your usual Lake Cycling shoe size.

• Lightweight winter shoe for fast gravel and mixed-surface riding
• A rare full-carbon platform in a winter-ready road shoe
• Speed-lace closure and real-rubber traction for cold, wet conditions

Fit and build

Fit: Closer and more athletic than the MXZ305 winter boot. The Competition Last gives it a lower-volume performance feel, while speed laces make it easy to secure the foot without adding bulk.

Upper: Microfiber [Non-Leather] construction provides consistent structure in a winter- ready package with less internal volume than the MXZ305. The upper supports quick adjustment, weather protection, and secure foot positioning for cold- weather riding.

Sole: Lake’s Competition midsole is 100% carbon fiber and is combined with the Mountain Competition real rubber sole, which offers extended protection. The Mountain Competition rubber sole includes larger tread blocks that provide excellent grip on nearly all surfaces. This design ensures a stable and sure-footed cycling shoe suitable for wet weather and various conditions.

Closure: Speed laces provide quick adjustment and even pressure distribution across the foot. The fully replaceable system supports fast entry and exit while maintaining secure foot positioning during hard efforts.
